What WIDE RECEIVER lineup should I use?

Sunday Nov 14, 2010

There are 3 spaces. Here are my wide receivers:
-Mark Clayton
-Larry Fitzgerald
-Steve Smith(NYG)
-Austin Collie
-Devin Aromashadu
-Dez Bryant (May only be doing punt returns on Sunday)

Mark Clayton, Larry Fitzgerald, Austin Collie

Steve Smith is going up agaisnt a stingy Tennessee defense. #1 pass defense in the league at the moment… but, there is a BUT that was against Oakland, and Pittsburgh. Not at the top of their passing games at the moment.

Mark Clayton is going up against Washington (#31 pass defense in the league)

Fitz is a must, even when going up against a tough Raiders pass defense. You just can’t sit him…

What do you think of these 3 trades?

Friday Nov 12, 2010

Receive Steven Jackson, StL RB
Receive Chad Ochocinco, Cin WR
Send Matt Forte, Chi RB
Send Randy Moss, Min WR

Receive Knowshon Moreno, Den RB
Receive DeSean Jackson, Phi WR
Send Ben Roethlisberger, Pit QB

Receive Chris Johnson, Ten RB
Receive Santana Moss, Was WR
Send Braylon Edwards, NYJ WR
Send Kyle Orton, Den QB

Ok, heres the rest of my roster if you think I can edit these trades for the players above:

QB-Sanchez, Ben, Orton, Vick (Need To Trade 1!!!)
RB-Gore (untouchable), hillis, forte, charles,
WR-Naanee, Randy Moss, Edwards, Clayton, Steve Smith (CAR)

Really nobody is trading for Naanee, Vick, and Smith
with this info, u should be able to tell im trying to buck up at RB, but WR is a place Id like to get better at too, but its tough to find WRs for trading

I am going to assume all these trade would happen if you wanted for the sake of my opinion. The first trade is horrible for you. For the time being, Forte and Jackson can be considered a scratch. Moss is about to break out though. Favre has been wanting a number one receiver and now he has it. Remember, Favre wanted Moss bad when the Raiders were looking to trade him. Plan for plenty of balls heading toward Moss. His value is a lot more than Ocho. The second trade isn’t too bad. I would try and get two receivers instead of 1 receiver and 1 running back. I am not a fan of Naanee or Smith. Also, Edwards might be the number one receiver but Keller is the number 1 target. The third trade is money. Getting Chris Johnson for Orton is excellent for you, since you don’t need Orton, I would say Moss is actually ranked above Edwards since he is McNabb’s number one man.

Good Luck!

Fantasy Football Week 3 Starters Help?

Wednesday Nov 10, 2010

For my WR #3, pick 1 of these, Mark Clayton, Steve Smith, Kevin Walter

For my RB #2, pick 1 of these, Ahmad Bradshaw, Darren Mcfadden, Mike Tolbert
Giants steve smith

i would go with mark clayton hes getting a majority of the targets and hes being targeted in the red zone so thats a really good sign and i would go with bradshaw hes playing the titans this week and his career rushing avg against afc teams is 6.9 and has allowed over 100 rushing yards in there 1st 2 games and hes gonna be there primary back

Starting WR for week 3?

Sunday Nov 7, 2010

My WR’s are
-DeSean Jackson
-Mark Clayton
-Steve Smith (CAR)
-Percy Harvin
-Jeremy Maclin
-Steve Breaston
-Louis Murphy
-Demaryius Thomas

I can play two

Somehow I ended up with all of these. Most of them are solid starting WR’s. Harvin’s matchup against the Lions is nice but hes hurt. Also Steve Smith has a new quarterback this week, im unsure how that will affect him…..

Answers much appreciated.

Steve Smith and Deasean Jackson

Who should i pick up for Fox Fantasy Football?

Friday Nov 5, 2010

I have to pick up a player for Mark Clayton because he’s out for the season.

Danny Amendola(STL), Roy Williams(DAL), Mike Williams(TB), or Steve Johnson(BUF)?

Mike Williams is getting red zone targets every game and is Freeman’s #1 receiver. This rookie’s stats will only get better as the season progresses.

Who to Start at Tight End and Wide Receiver?

Tuesday Nov 2, 2010

Santana Moss, Hines Ward, Mark Clayton, Malcom Floyd, Dustin Keller, Vernon Davis, Steve Smith (CAR)

Need to start:
3 WR
1 Tight End

normally jamaal charles would go at flex, but he as a bye this week.

I’ll start with TE, you can’t go wrong with Keller or Davis. This week Keller gets the Bills, who stink out loud, but Davis gets the Falcons who are actually decent. The only worry with Keller is if the score gets out of hand early and the Jets decide to run the ball for the rest of the game.
At WR the obvious starters are normally Floyd, the top WR in a pass happy offense, and Steve Smith, a perennial pro bowler. However, the Panthers just can’t get it done through the air this year, or the ground for that matter. Clausen had one of the worst pro football debuts in history, but managed to avoid an awful game by throwing a lot of short garbage passes to get some yardage and not end with a completion percentage of 20. Smith is a deep threat and has nobody to help him avoid triple teams, literally both safeties could play over the top of him and the rest of the defense could probably handle the Panthers. Smith has to go to the bench for most people until this situation gets sorted out, or they just don’t have anybody else to play. So start Floyd, bench Smith.
This would actually be easier if your other WRs weren’t all situational plays at worst. Clayton has been red hot for the Rams and I’m inclined to believe that production will continue. In Clayton’s worst game he caught 2 TDs and nothing else, but it’s hard to get receptions when you’re covered most of the game by Asomugah. The Seahawks have been running up the score, not sure how though as they don’t have a single fantasy starter, and with a high scoring game Clayton will get plenty of opportunities.
Ward is a great NFL receiver, but not a good fantasy receiver. If a fantasy league gave points for blocking then ward would take a jump in value similar to Wes Welker’s jump in a PPR league. Baltimore is tough, and historically Ward has done poorly against them. Also, a low scoring game, which is how Baltimore and Pittsburgh play each other, doesn’t lend itself to fantasy football.
Santana Moss is the #1 target in McNabb’s offense and that’s great. Moss is a speed guy who has always been a feast or famine guy because of it. However, McNabb is using him as the go-to-guy, which means that Moss isn’t just being sent on a 40 yard pattern every play only to never see the ball unless his corner falls down. Moss sees at least 5 targets a game and has been doing good work with those targets, he’s still a deep threat too.
I like Floyd, Moss and Clayton. Ward and Smith both have pretty rough matchups and iffy QB play, Batch played great and Clausen looked awful.

Who should I start at my 3rd Wide Reciever Spot?

Sunday Oct 31, 2010

Should I start Jabar Gafney against Seattle, Malcolm Floyd against Jacksonville, or Michael Clayton against Oakland? I can only pick one my other two recievers are Steve Smith and Larry Fitzgerald

Floyd is your safest bet…don’t let Monday nights game scare you.

Do I start Johnathon Stewart, Percy Harvin or Mark Clayton at Flex Option?

Thursday Oct 28, 2010

Current Lineup

QB Peyton Manning, Ind QB
RB Michael Turner, Atl RB
RB Brandon Jackson, GB RB
RB/WR Jonathan Stewart, Car RB
WR Anquan Boldin, Bal WR P
WR Santana Moss, Was WR
TE Visanthe Shiancoe, Min TE
D/ST Cowboys D/ST, Dal D/ST
K Robbie Gould, Chi K

Current Bench

Bench Percy Harvin, Min WR Q
Bench Brandon Jacobs, NYG RB
Bench Steve Slaton, Hou RB
Bench Mario Manningham, NYG WR
Bench Jeremy Shockey, NO TE
Bench Alex Smith, SF QB
Bench Mark Clayton, StL WR

What do you think?

I think you’re right with Stewart in the lineup. The Bucs D isn’t much of a threat. Harvin is a game time decision and Favre isn’t in regular season form yet. Clayton had a good game last week and could have a nice season, but I’d like to see some consistency before relying on him.
