Steve Smith is going up agaisnt a stingy Tennessee defense. #1 pass defense in the league at the moment… but, there is a BUT that was against Oakland, and Pittsburgh. Not at the top of their passing games at the moment.

Mark Clayton is going up against Washington (#31 pass defense in the league)

Fitz is a must, even when going up against a tough Raiders pass defense. You just can’t sit him…

Receive Chris Johnson, Ten RB
Receive Santana Moss, Was WR
Send Braylon Edwards, NYJ WR
Send Kyle Orton, Den QB

Ok, heres the rest of my roster if you think I can edit these trades for the players above:

QB-Sanchez, Ben, Orton, Vick (Need To Trade 1!!!)
RB-Gore (untouchable), hillis, forte, charles,
WR-Naanee, Randy Moss, Edwards, Clayton, Steve Smith (CAR)

Really nobody is trading for Naanee, Vick, and Smith
with this info, u should be able to tell im trying to buck up at RB, but WR is a place Id like to get better at too, but its tough to find WRs for trading

I am going to assume all these trade would happen if you wanted for the sake of my opinion. The first trade is horrible for you. For the time being, Forte and Jackson can be considered a scratch. Moss is about to break out though. Favre has been wanting a number one receiver and now he has it. Remember, Favre wanted Moss bad when the Raiders were looking to trade him. Plan for plenty of balls heading toward Moss. His value is a lot more than Ocho. The second trade isn’t too bad. I would try and get two receivers instead of 1 receiver and 1 running back. I am not a fan of Naanee or Smith. Also, Edwards might be the number one receiver but Keller is the number 1 target. The third trade is money. Getting Chris Johnson for Orton is excellent for you, since you don’t need Orton, I would say Moss is actually ranked above Edwards since he is McNabb’s number one man.

Good Luck!

Santana Moss, Hines Ward, Mark Clayton, Malcom Floyd, Dustin Keller, Vernon Davis, Steve Smith (CAR)

Need to start:
3 WR
1 Tight End

normally jamaal charles would go at flex, but he as a bye this week.

I’ll start with TE, you can’t go wrong with Keller or Davis. This week Keller gets the Bills, who stink out loud, but Davis gets the Falcons who are actually decent. The only worry with Keller is if the score gets out of hand early and the Jets decide to run the ball for the rest of the game.
At WR the obvious starters are normally Floyd, the top WR in a pass happy offense, and Steve Smith, a perennial pro bowler. However, the Panthers just can’t get it done through the air this year, or the ground for that matter. Clausen had one of the worst pro football debuts in history, but managed to avoid an awful game by throwing a lot of short garbage passes to get some yardage and not end with a completion percentage of 20. Smith is a deep threat and has nobody to help him avoid triple teams, literally both safeties could play over the top of him and the rest of the defense could probably handle the Panthers. Smith has to go to the bench for most people until this situation gets sorted out, or they just don’t have anybody else to play. So start Floyd, bench Smith.
This would actually be easier if your other WRs weren’t all situational plays at worst. Clayton has been red hot for the Rams and I’m inclined to believe that production will continue. In Clayton’s worst game he caught 2 TDs and nothing else, but it’s hard to get receptions when you’re covered most of the game by Asomugah. The Seahawks have been running up the score, not sure how though as they don’t have a single fantasy starter, and with a high scoring game Clayton will get plenty of opportunities.
Ward is a great NFL receiver, but not a good fantasy receiver. If a fantasy league gave points for blocking then ward would take a jump in value similar to Wes Welker’s jump in a PPR league. Baltimore is tough, and historically Ward has done poorly against them. Also, a low scoring game, which is how Baltimore and Pittsburgh play each other, doesn’t lend itself to fantasy football.
Santana Moss is the #1 target in McNabb’s offense and that’s great. Moss is a speed guy who has always been a feast or famine guy because of it. However, McNabb is using him as the go-to-guy, which means that Moss isn’t just being sent on a 40 yard pattern every play only to never see the ball unless his corner falls down. Moss sees at least 5 targets a game and has been doing good work with those targets, he’s still a deep threat too.
I like Floyd, Moss and Clayton. Ward and Smith both have pretty rough matchups and iffy QB play, Batch played great and Clausen looked awful.

What do you think?

I think you’re right with Stewart in the lineup. The Bucs D isn’t much of a threat. Harvin is a game time decision and Favre isn’t in regular season form yet. Clayton had a good game last week and could have a nice season, but I’d like to see some consistency before relying on him.
