I'd be really surprised if you have a revolutionary idea in sales and marketing. It's impossible for me to believe that with 8 billion people on this planet and billions of pages of information on the internet that no one in the history of mankind has ever thought of your idea. If it's this unique, I would patent it, sell it myself, and make millions. If it's not, just make your suggestion and see if they would finance the rollout.
References :
Send a registered letter to yourself with the plan inside. You will receive a dated document, certified by the US Government of your plan. Do this before you provide the plan to the owner and do not open the letter...let the judge in your lawsuit do that.
References :
Maybe a disclaimer line in your email of the presentation stating that by opening/viewing the file the individual waives all rights to usage and agrees not to violate your exclusivity of use. Or, send him a disclaimer email first requesting a reply that states he will not use your idea and by typing his name as an e-signature. Upon receiving a reply, print it with date/time and retain, then send him the presentation. MAKE SURE IT IS READ ONLY AND UN-EDITABLE!!!!
References :
Get a confidentiality and non-compete agreement signed. They are industry-standard and you can get a template of one for free on the internet.
References :
http://office.microsoft.com

you need some type of guarantee... I would recommend a sales bid for the job... If he need X job proposal then you summit a job sale with detailed work for the job that you will be doing for your client there for you and him know the price up front.
